Steampunky Birthday Card for Shelly

Hey Everyone,
SO I sent out Shelly's 2nd prezzie which she received last week on Friday  so I am here to share that Bday Card that I sent her. So Shelly really loved the card I made recently that I sent to my friend Erica, the one with the clock and gears, its about 2 posts back. Well she loved loved loved it so I decided to use some of the elements and create a new card that had the similarities that she loved but a completely different card in itseld. So here it is, I used alot of die cuts and metals and all kinds of goodness on this card. If you want to watch the video click HERE.  There isnt really much to go over on this card just list what I used. But like always I do alot of layering, alot of metal and alot of bling. Check out below the pics for all the items that I used. SO here is the card. This is a rather large card. It was 8" x 6" ( possibly 5 3/4"). There was no patterned paper that I used on this card. Strictly silver metallic paper and die cuts.

So here is the card front. My motto go big or go home lol.  So the 3 main dies that I used were the The Cheerylynn Clock w Angel Wing Die - B357, The Gears Mesh Border - B361 and the Papertrey Ink Filigree Border die.

For the inside of the card  I used the Cheerylynn Gears Mesh Border  instead of patterned paper which I do often. I'm not a die hard paper lover I like to do different things. Dont get me wrong I like patterned paper its lovely but I like to change it up a bit from time to time. I will stamp a back ground or as in this case I used die cuts.

Here is a pic of the top of the card after I adhered the stamped sentiment. The bottom part just had a blank label so I could write my message to Shelly.
If you would like more details that I gave here check out the video  which I linked above.

Steampunk Treasure Chest

Hey Everyone!
Sorry its taken me so long to create this post. So I was in a altered item swap with my friend Erica from CraftingErica on YT. We decided to alter a wooden treasure check from SaCrafters. So this was a lil bit of a challenge when I started it since her style was SteamPunk. I created this treasure chest prior to the Altered S that I posted like 2 or 3 posts back. So I spent a good amount of time on YT looking at Steampunk projects to geta good grasp of what steampunk entailed since I had never done steampunk before. I'm not going to go into detail over what I did to the chest here since I recorded a YT vid and went into detail over what I did. If you are interested click HERE. Otherwise here are the pictures of the box! I must say I LOVE the way the boxed came out! I totally wanted to keep it lol. But I knew I must part with so away it went.

As always here are the products that I used on the box. Thank you for stopping by :)

Steampunk Altered Letter "S"

Hey Everyone,
So my friend Shelly's B-Day is coming up ( thanksgiving time) so I decided to shower her with gifts this year. Instead of sending one big package I decided to spread it out so she receives a couple of packages starting now still her bday. So her first present I decided to alter a wooden letter, S for her name. She looooooves the steampunk grungy look so I decided to try my hand at steampunk. Be aware I have never done steampunk before so I was a little concerned lol... So with out further delay here is my letter! I've uploaded a couple of pics so you could see all the areas  a bit closer.
So to start off I used several different products. If you want a detailed description of what I did please check out my youtube video by clicking HERE - Steampunk Altered Letter Video. I'm just going to give a quick run down here on this post. As always all the main products used will be listed below at the end of the post. I used a bunch of Butter Bee Scraps Artistic Treasures , Wild Orchid Crafts and Shimmerz Paints products. I used alot of metal gears and chipboard gears to add alot of layers of texture to the letter. On the base before adhering all the gears I used the Crafters Workshop Art Is Stencil , the proceeded to randomly adhere the geats in several different areas. there are several layers of gears throughout the entire letter. I painted the letter with black acrylic paint once I gessoed the entire letter. I then painted all the gears with my Viva Decor Inka Gold in 3 different colors to have the variety of metals on the letter. I used my Shimmerz and Blingz to color the WOC flowers that I added to the project. The Magnolia ( the red flower) I used my Shimmerz in Royal Red, for the Tuscany Rose ( the grey flower) I used the Blingz in Hi Ho Silver. On the Wild Rose Buds I use Lindy's Scintilating Silver. To finish the letter off I added 2 different styles of silver chains and some addition bronze charms. Check out the pics :)

ButterBeeScraps Project - Thank you card and Stickpins

Hey crafty peeps,
I am back with a ButterBeeScraps project. Yes its a simple card and stick pins. I am currently working on an altered box and handmade embellishments as well as a 12x12 layout for my kids and a mixed media canvas but those are for future posts. So to get started I used a bunch of jewelry findings that can be used for jewelry, or charms and stick pins. I took the stick pin route so those will be first to show. I used both short and long stick pins as well as a variety of beads and caps from ButterBeeScraps' Artistic Treasures. I will have links of most of the products used at the end of this post.

I thought it would be easier to add a collage pic of all the pins to save space. I will specify what products I used on each picture and the end of the post so if you are looking for something specific you don't have to click on every link trying to find it.

For the second part of my project I created a Thank You Card just to have a lil something more for the project instead of just stick pins lol. I used my favorite filigree to this day, it is simple but can be used anywhere. I also used some bronze hitch fastners and my absolute new favorite glass AB bling. I mean this bling ROCKS!!!! Mo does not yet have this in her store but I talked her into bringing it in! Trust me you will LOVE it! So look for it in a future new products release coming soon! I also used a few WOC products just to give the card an added embellishment and some lindy's magicals to give it a dash of color to go with some of the reflective colors on the bling :)

Thank you so much for stopping by. If you want to check out the video where I go over the card click HERE.
If you have any questions please let me know :) Oh and the beads are on SALE!!!

Happy Scrappin!!

Mixed Media Tag for Yvonne (ScrapBliss)

Hey Everyone! I'm back with a post that is NOT as card WOOHOO! So as I mentioned in my previous post that I had created a mixed media tag. So here it is! Yvonne (Scrapliss) and I decided to do a mixed media tag swap a few months ago so here is mine! I used a bunch of different products on this  tag and I absolutely love the way it came out! For a list of the main products used please check the bottom of this post which will include links list most of the products used.

So with out delay here is collage picture of the tag. I absolutely adore it! I had such a hard time sending this out lol. This tag came together fairly quickly. I say it took me between 1.5-2hrs to create and most of that time was spent coloring the flowers and waiting glossy accents to dry a lil bit before moving on lol.. The background came together quickly as i was impatient and used me heat tool to dry all the layers. So I had the thought of garden theme in my head when I started the tag and of course I had to add metal.. it wouldn't be a project of mine if it didn't have metal somewhere on it. So as in all my projects I like to capture both mine and my swap partners styles/tastes. So the metal represents me and all the colors for my swap partner. I also chose to personalize the tag and add her full name to it with some scrabble tiles. So for the background I used a couple of stencils and sprays which are listed below and chose to keep the flowers different shades as opposed to gesso-ing and spraying with the background as I did with my previous tag. I wanted the metal to stand out as well.
Ok I am rambling enough. I did do a finished project video on this tag. to check it out click HERE.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Here is a list of the main products I used.

Misc Products Used
Heidi Swap 6x6 Lattice Stencil
Tim Holtz Dot Fade Stencil
Crafters Workshop 6x6 Art Is Stencil
Dreamweaver Embossing Paste
Liquitex White Gesso
Tim Holtz DistressAged Mahogany Re-Inker
Glossy Accents

 Lindy's Stamp Gang

I also used some stamens but I no longer see them listed sorry :(

Elegant Birthday Card

Hey Everyone,
So I am back with another card share. I know I know it seems like all I do is create cards.. lol. I feel like only a card maker at the moment. But I did finish another mixed media tag that I will be posting shortly and I have been working on some scrapbook layouts so stay tuned for those.
I actually did a complete start to finish video on this card so if you are interested click HERE.So without further delay here is the card :) I had originally intended on this card being a wedding or anniversary card since I chose the silver and gold foil paper but did not have the appropriate stamps for it so of course it became a birthday card. But hey you cant have too many birthday cards in your stash lol.

Front of the card
So on the front I used an array of metal filigree products from ButterBeeScraps Artistic Treasures as well as a crochet doily which I got from ThePaperBagLady. The background silver die cut piece was cut from Cheerylynn Designs Mediterranean Lace Rectangle Frame and I backed that with gold foil paper. The happy birthday stamp is from the Paper Trey Ink Inside and Out Birthday Stamp Set which was heat embossed with Ranged Fine Detail Gold Embossing powder.

Inside of the card
The inside as always I like to decorate as well. I used the same filigree corners as I used on the front of the card. The sentiment is also from the same Paper Trey Ink stamp set I listed above.

If you have any questions please let me know.

MIxed Media Tag

So scrolling thru my posts I realized I did not post a mixed media tag that I did for a tag swap I was in with my friend Yvette the DaileyScrapper. So here I am to share it. It was my first time creating a mixed media tag. I kind of just went with the flow. And the flow ended being completely grungy which is totally out of the box but I still am pleased with the result. SO here is the tag without further delay. If you are interested in the video you can check it out by clicking HERE. Again sorry for not posting the products used below but just trying to get this done as quickly as possible since I am at work. So here are a couple of pictures of the tag. Hope you enjoy it :)

I totally had a blast creating this, got all nice and messy and did not have to worry about thing of where to place things. I grabbed something threw it down and there was its home lol.  If you have any questions please let me know :)

Another Card Creation

Here is card #2 from my series of cards I have been making over the past couple of weeks using 2 of the prima doily dies that were released a couple of month ago. I am  still on a metal kick so most of the items used were metal filigrees. I can't help it I just love metal!!!! LOL. As in the previous post for details of products used please check out the video where I show both cards, I go over everything I used. You can click HERE.

The picture speaks for itself displaying the awesome metal which is what I wanted to stand out. I hope you enjoyed the card. I know this is a short post but I am at work lol. I need to get back to it. hheheheeh.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Card creation post

Hey Everyone,
I'm back I know a couple of months between posts. Well I've been creating cards a bunch since its the quickest thing for me to do when I am busy, plus cards just come really easy to me. So I will be doing separate posts for each card. All 3 cards were using metal filigrees as the key embellishments for the cards. So here is the first card I created. I went with a simple designs for this one. Not a whole lot going on. I had purchased the prima doily dies when they were first released and had not yet used them so these cards came from my need to cut those doilies out. The card doesnt need a whole lot of explanation its pretty simple. If your interested in all the products used you can check out the yt video where I go over the products by clicking HERE

If you have any questions please let me know! Check out the next post for the next card :)

Hey Crafty Peeps,
So like I promised I'm trying to craft and post more frequently. So I'm here with a Butterbeescraps project that I created earlier this month. This was not created for anyone, just for me. I was bored and needed a break from B-Day party decorations for my oldest son's upcoming party. All i took were some gorgeous metal pieces, some lace, embossing power, paint and MDF wood frame and voila I was done. I created the metal embellishments previously which made the project super fast. I think it took less than an hour lol. A post will follow showing all of the embellishment pieces that I made. So with out further delay here is the frame.

Quick Card Share

Hey Everyone,
So my goal this year is to try and post on my blog more frequently than I have in the past. So here is a quick card share. There is no video for this card as i created it on the fly Saturday morning and had to give it away right away. Its extremely simple and quick to make. No thought process was really involved. LOL. So I used MME paper on this card. I must say its an older lost and found collection and I dont even know the name of it. It's pink and we all know how I feel about pink. LOL. SO I used Butterbeescraps goodness on this card as always. I gotta have my metal on everything I create. ALso there is nothing really to  go over for the card. Its simply creating the step card which I used the Cheerylynn step card die for ( why cut with a trimmer or knife when a die will do it all for me?) LOL. As always I will link the BBS products used below as well as list the main products used.

Metal Embellishment Card #1

Hey Everyone!
So I was on a card making kick this weekend. I made 4 cards!! For most that isnt much but for me with my hectic schedule is a MIRACLE! So this post will feature just one of the 4 cards. Two will be part of a guest DT project for Butterbeescraps Artistic Treasures and the 4th I will post in a few more days.
To find the metals used go check out Butterbeescraps Artistic Treasures over on Zibbet by clicking HERE

For this card I decided to use a filigree corner piece in a non traditional way, meaning NOT used as a corner piece. Instead I used it as my background of my card. No patterned paper was used, just plain ole cream cardstock. The rest of the card is all fabulous metal.

I know this is a rather quick post but at least it made it to be a post. LOL
