Altered Wood Letters

Hey my scrappy peeps! So I altered some wood letters I bought at Joann's for my mom for Christmas. Here is how they turned out.
I painted each letter with black acrylic paint and covered each letter with paper from DCWV Black Currant Paper Stack. Once covered both the front and back of the letters with ModgePodge.  I used several flowers from WOC,puffy daises, small maple leaves and skeleton leaves from IAR, a beaded spray from Michael's and I also used a couple Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays. I painted the gold roses with metallic gold acrylic paint, I would have done it with a Lindy's stain but I didn't have a gold color that I wanted to use. Please look below all the pics for links to these products.

Disney Mini Album

Hey Everyone!
I am finally posting the info for the Disney Mini Album that I completed earlier this week. Here are some photo's as well.
I used mainly die cuts on this album. For die cut information look at the info below each picture.
COVER
INSIDE COVER
For the inside cover I just used Mickey Mouse Deisgner paper that I purchased at Michaels a long time ago and then lines the edge with black lace trim.
Page 1: Mickey - The Mickey Die cut was created using the Mickey and Friends Cartridge
The next few pages have SVG files from the same blog.

All of the die cuts EXCEPT the Star Tours were from Reddy's Rambling's Blog. She has a TON I mean a TOn of fabulous Disney SVG Files. Check her out!
This page I used the Mickey & Friends Cricut Cartridge for the Minnie Title Phrase. I also used the Martha Steware Deep Edge Punch.. Latice Heart and some random flat scrapbooking flowers.
The Mickey Ears on the tags are a border from the Mickey Font Cartridge.

Minnie was cut from the Micket and Friends cartridge.
The teeny tiny pink flower is a Wild Orchid Crafts Flower. Here is the link.

These two Splash Mountain Die cuts I got off of this blog

Goofy is from the Mickey & Friends Cricut cartridge and Donald is from the Mickey Font Cartridge.

Snow White was cut from the Happily Ever After Cartridge. The blue flowers are Prima flowers and the white flower in the center is from Wild Orchid Crafts. here is the link to the flowers.

For the last page. there isnt anything to it. I got super lazy and had to finish it ASAP. The flowers are Prima Flowers. The Lilo & Stitch are just images I pulled off the internet and printed out.

Sneak Peak at my 1st Paper Bag Album page

Hey Ladies,
So I made a huge accomplishment this yesterday! I got 1 paper bag album page matted! This may not be much for most, but for me to do in 1 day! Its a miracle lol.... So I started 2 different paper bag album styles.. The sneak peek is based on kathyorta's ultimate paper bag album with a slight variation.. I used the same bag style she did, I just changed the page style... The 2nd style is based off of Kathryn's most recent MME mini that she did. Same bag style assembly. As soon as I start matting that one I will post progress updates as well.
So below you will see several photos of the page... It contains 3 flaps... Once completed it will have a total of either 5 or 6 pages.. I haven't quite yet decided. I will post all the matted pages then will do a final post on the entire completed album.... So here we go!!!

This is the very first part of the page you will see when you open the album! Had to have my favorite on the front.. DAMASK. lol..
This first flap opens to the left.. You then get the pic below. The flap part has a vertical pocket. At this time the black damask page does not have any interactive pieces...
Next the black damask page flips up to reveal the next page which has a horizontal pocket on the flap.
This page also has a horizontal pocket but at the top of the page...

TFW! Please feel free to provide any feedback or advice.. It is greatly appreciated!

Finished Altered Recipe Box

Hey Scrappers!
I have been working on an altered recipe box  for a swap hosted by the awesome kayluvs2scrap for the past 3 weeks now. Yeah I know 3 weeks..... but I finally finished it. I think I probably worked on it 30 minutes each week lol.  But hey what can you do when you have 2 lil ones at home... Scrap time is extremely limited.
I am actually very pleased with the way it came out. Not bad for my first one! I used the the DCWV Black Currant paper stack. LOike I have said before.. Gorgeous gorgeous paper. I wanted to keep the box but decided to send it off any way.  Here are some pics. I hope you like it!

Here is a video of the box! TFW!

Thanks!

Another Flower & My first stick pin

Well back to back flower posts... I stayed up late playing around with flowers. I made another flower but this time I played around with not just glimmer mist but color wash too... I used Adirondack Color Wash in Cranberry along with the same TA Copper Color Glimmer Mist.   I love the cranberry color! Its gorgeous! And I have Kim Dylewicz to thank for doing a trade with me on Life on the Scrap Beach!
I also made my first stick pin! YAY! It's simple but cute! I am looking forward to gathering more supplies to make some fabulous stick pins!

I hope everyone has a fabulous scrappin day!

Finally Another Post - Flowers

Hey everyone!
So I figured it was time for a new post... I was waiting until I finished the altered recipe box I'm working on for a swap but that's still another week away. Since I was making flowers today I thought I could post those instead. The black one i just put a little bit of diamond dust on the edges of the petals.
I finally used glimmer mist!!! I used it on the little white rose. You can't see it very well due to the flash but I used the Tattered Angels - copper glimmer mist.... Oh boy.. people said I would love glimmer mist but they didn't say how much I would love it... I NEED every color out there now!!! Its gorgeous! I didn't over do it on the flower since the two bottles I do have are small.... 1oz... So I think I'm going to hoard those for a while til I can get more!!!
So I hope to do at least a weekly post. What's the point on having a blog if I'm never going to post anything lol.... Well until next time ladies!!!
Please feel free to comment.. Feedback is always greatly appreciated...
HUGS!!!

My Very First Post!

Hi Everyone!
So I figured I would start my first post with a very simple scrapbook layout that I made for my godson's album. His mom likes them simple since she wants the focus to be on the pictures. In my eyes she's kinda boring.. wouldnt't let me get creative lol.

I am finally venturing out and will be trying altered items, tags and mini's.. But of course not all at once... There is tons of talented ladies who give me inspiration and I think I can do it!!! I will try to post more finished projects but there wont be too many.. The lil one doesn's allow for much crafting time!!!

Hope to see you soon!!!!
